Non-executive Chairman, Simon Miller

Simon Miller

Simon Miller read Law at Cambridge and was called to the bar at the Middle Temple. He joined Lazard Brothers in 1976, working in the Corporate Finance Department. In 1982 he joined County Bank (now NatWest Markets), becoming a director in 1984. Between 1986 and 1991 he was Chief Executive of Ferrum Holdings, a quoted engineering company. From 1989 to 1999 he was Chairman of Safetynet PLC, a disaster recovery company which became an associate of Reuters and was subsequently bought by Guardian iT. Since 1994 he has been Chairman of Dunedin Capital Partners, a private equity business and a Non-Executive Director of various other businesses.

Mervyn Jones

Mervyn Jones has spent much of his career in the oil industry both in the UK and abroad, holding a number of trading, commercial and business restructuring roles with BP. Whilst with BP in Scotland he also held a number of broader responsibilities as Chairman of the Grangemouth Development Group, Vice President of a Chamber of Commerce and a LEC Board Member. Since 2003 Mervyn has been a Council Member of the Scottish Funding Council, there chairing its Strategic Funds and Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Groups.  He is also Chairman of Aquamarine Power Limited, Chairman of Falkirk Community Stadium Limited, a Member of Court of the University of St Andrews and a Partner of the Maple Jones Consultancy.
